How did Rome's Government Develop?
Early Rome people was divided into two groups the Patricians & the Plebeians. The Patricians were the wealthy ones that were landowners. The Plebeians was most of Rome's people. There were artisans, shopkeepers, and owners of small farms. Both Patricians and Plebeian men were allowed to vote and had the responsibility to pay taxes. Plebeians had less social power so, marriage between the two was forbidden.
How Did Rome's Government Work?
Rome had a three-part government. A part that enforced the law,a part that made the law and a part that interpreted the law. The top government officials were the consuls. The consuls could veto the others decision.Rome's other important officials were called Pratetors, they interpreted the law.
